Now The Excuses Come Out

The night before the Orlando Magic get their "Thank you for participating in the NBA playoff"certificates and get bounced by the Celtics, Rashard Lewis comes out and says that he has been fighting a stomach virus all series. Are we to believe that Rashard Lewis horrific play in this series is due to a stomach virus and not that he is being out played by his opponent? In the four games of this series many critics and fans will all agree that the Magic have shown no heart or effort except for one game and because of that I feel there will be more excuses coming in the near future. I being one of the greatest high school players of all time (you can stop laughing now) know that it is easy to make up an excuse for a bad play then to man up and just admit that I didn't bring my "A" game. But if you decide to use an excuse use the excuse that that moment. Don't wait to the very end to give an excuse so we can give you a "Get Out of Jail" card. Why did Lewis wait until the last moment to say something or why haven't we heard anything about this sooner. I cant not remember a single moment where Lewis had to leave the bench and go the the restroom during a game. Its amazing that the media with today's technology and practices can find out things about us that we didn't even know so its hard to accept that fact that no one in the media or that is part of the team mention or even provided a hint that Lewis was suffering from this so called horrible stomach virus?

We should give Rashard Lewis all the credit in the world! For someone who has a stomach virus and should be suffering from dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea and to average 39 minutes a game is amazing! To be able to clinch your butt cheeks together ever so tightly and keep your mouth shut for all of those minutes is, shall I say it, JORDAN-ESQUE! I apologize Mr Lewis, I can now see why you are worth over 100 million dollars!
